City of Las Vegas Planning meets the AIA

On August 10th, 2017 the Planning Department hosted an informative session for the Nevada Chapter of the American Institute of Architects on the many initiatives that the city of Las Vegas has been working on since the adoption of the Vision 2045 Downtown Masterplan. Particular emphasis was given to the current Form-Based Code project and to how this new regulatory framework for downtown will relate to the architectural profession. The city’s Urban Design Coordinator, Mike Howe, led the presentation and facilitated the discussion during the 3-hour event that occurred at our LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certified City Hall.
